Community Meeting to Discuss Future High School for Riverside South On October 4, 2018, Mark Fisher, current OCDSB Trustee for Zone 7, in collaboration with the Steve MacLean Public School’s (SMPS) Parent Council and the Riverside South Community Association (RSCA) held a community meeting to discuss plans for a future high school in Riverside South. Representatives from the OCDSB described the capital planning process, the funding process for new projects, and the status of the proposed high school in Riverside South. In collaboration with the RSCA and the office of our local MPP, Goldie Ghamari, the SMPS Parent Council is planning to lead a public campaign to advocate for the high school which will include: Submitting a petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario Launching a campaign for parents/community members to write letters of support Timelines and next steps are being developed to ensure a coordinated effort; stay tuned for further information in the next few weeks.
