For the Education Week, from May 7-11th, our school became a “Human Library” filled with volunteers as “human books”. Human Library is a way for people to reach out and connect with individuals in their community that they might not normally engage with. Kudos to all the volunteers for sharing their stories, teachers for organizing and students for asking great questions, and making this event a huge success!
The Human Library is about bringing people together in the community to share their stories, interesting life experiences, education, passions or jobs. It gives people a chance to learn about others, be inspired, ask questions, gain understanding and strengthen social connections. If you or someone you know would be interested in coming to share your knowledge with the students in the future, we would love to have you! Some ideas are: artists, authors, athlete, military, pilot, scientist, yoga instructor, refugee, Olympian, inspirational speaker, chef, musician, news anchor, etc… the list goes on and on!
Please feel free to contact Ms. Kerri Draper at email@example.com. Thank you in advance for considering!
