Pizza Program 2011-2012

Another year is well under way at Steve MacLean and we are excited to kick off the Pizza Program once again.

The Pizza Program is run as a fundraiser by our School Council. The profits benefit our school and our children. The funds raised help to pay for items including library books, teaching aids, field trips, buses and sports equipment. Thank you for supporting the School Council's largest fundraiser.

This year we will be offering pizza from Mr. Mozzarella. The pizza tastes great and will comply with the Ministry of Education's new, mandatory School Food and Beverage Policy. The pizza will have whole-wheat crust and low fat cheese to ensure a healthy, hot lunch for your child. For more information on the Ministry's policy, please check out the OCDSB website.

We are also excited to announce that the ordering process and payment via credit card is now online. You can access the online order form via your personal MySMPS web site. If you do not have a MySMPS web site you can create one easily by selecting 'Register' on the left. It is very easy. If needed, we are still offering paper forms that can be either printed off the website or picked up at the office. We are also still accepting cheques for those who do not wish to pay by credit card. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact us.

All forms must be submitted by Friday September 30 to receive pizza on the first Pizza Day, which is October 12th. If at any time during the school year you wish to change, add to, or start a pizza order you can do so online or via the Pizza Ladies at pizza@smpscounci.org. We are happy to make changes throughout the year.

When there is extra food, it is kept in the kitchen freezer and given out to children that come to school without a lunch. Sorry, no exceptions. As always, please feel free to contact the Pizza Ladies with any questions or concerns at pizza@smpscounci.org
